茨厂街女王Bullets Over Petaling Street

An action comedy about an awkward movie star named Angel who accidentally becomes a triad leader in an intense election war among four main triads in Petaling Street. The media makes a whole lot of coverage for this new Triad leader, exposing her for assassination. While she tries to hide from her assassin, she bumps into a restaurant owner Xie Da Xiang who is her ex-boyfriend.

茨厂街女王 Bullets Over Petaling Street is a good example of poorly made Malaysian movie. It wasn’t one of the worst I’ve watched but it was bad enough for me to make a point in posting this up informing you – don’t bother watching it. In the past few years, there were tons of triads/gangster related movies made in Malaysia. When you further filter it down to movies of the said category which focuses on Chinese as target audience, Kepong 甲洞 probably emerge at the number one spot. That was 2012.
